Adopt-A-Fish�

The Adopt-A-Fish� program is a perfect activity for families, clubs, schools or individuals and fishermen who simply want to make a difference. The Adopt-A-Fish� program will give you the opportunity to become involved in the preservation and study of finfish. For a ten dollar, tax-deductible donation, a game fish will be caught, tagged and released with a FISH Unlimited tag in the donor's name. Then the donor will receive a Certification of Adoption suitable for display. When the fish is recaptured and reported to FISH Unlimited, the donor will be notified, and sent a detailed history of the fish's travel distances, growth rates, and the name and address of the angler who caught the tagged fish. This program is the perfect way to introduce your family and friends to the sport of angling as well as teaching responsibility to the environment. The information generated will be made available free of charge to colleges and universities, with the hope that it will result in more effective fisheries management programs.
